Some of the Worst Colleges in America

While there are so many factors that go into picking the right college for you, you may want to make sure your dream school isn’t one of the worst colleges in America.

Whether they have high tuition rates or low graduation numbers, there’s a reason why these schools are considered some of the worst colleges in the United States.

Laramie County Community College

Though Laramie County Community College is very cheap — it costs roughly $4,000 to attend — only 25% of students end up graduating.

Hartwick College

Located in Oneota, New York, Hartwick College is considered to be one of the worst colleges in America. The annual cost of tuition is a whopping $48,500, but only 58% of their students end up graduating. Guess it’s not worth the cost to attend!

Texas College

Texas College is located in Tyler, Texas, and has one of the worst graduation rates in the country, coming in at just 12%. Not to mention, people who graduate from Texas College only make on average $23,000 a year, which certainly doesn’t cover the cost of student loans.

The University of Alabama at Birmingham

Don’t get this school confused with the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama — they’re two very different schools! The University of Alabama at Birmingham, unfortunately, has a very high crime rate, which makes it dangerous for college students. Not to mention, they have a graduation rate of just 55%.
